St. Patrick’s Primary School - Enrolment Information

Enrolment applications are accepted either in person, by mail or by email. Prep enrolments have a first round close off date at the end of Semester One in the year prior to starting. Precedence for enrolment will be given to existing and Catholic families.

Enrolment Procedure

The Enrolment Application form, found on this webpage, plus all required attachments should be returned to the school. Attachments should include: child’s Birth Certificate, child’s Baptism certificate (unless baptised at Pakenham),a school Immunisation certificate, assessment reports (medical or educational) pertaining to your child, your child’s most recent school report (if transferring from another school), any custody order or other court orders pertaining to your child, your child’s Passport if born overseas and the $100 enrolment deposit.

After completion of the application form you may arrange an appointment to meet with the Principal. The Principal will attempt to answer any queries you may have and offer you a tour of the school. If your family is moving to Pakenham we will arrange starting dates for your child straight away, once the formalities are completed.

Prep Enrolment

Prep children must be 5 years of age on or before the 30th of April in the year of beginning school.

Enrolment forms for the following year’s Prep children may be brought in, mailed, emailed to the school or submitted online at anytime before the end of June in the preceding year. If your enrolment is lodged after that date you may need to go on a waiting list, depending on enrolment numbers.

Your enrolment will be acknowledged by mail or email and in the second half of the year you and your child will be invited for interview. Enrolments are not complete without all documentation and interview, after which you will formally be offered a place at St Patrick’s for your child.

Orientation days for preps will be arranged in November and December of the preceding year. You will be advised of the dates.
